Cape Privé

Where the world’s finest destinations become extraordinary private experiences

The Signature Experiences The Residence

Who We Are

We don’t sell rooms.
We open doors.

Cape Privé exists for travellers who have already experienced luxury, and are looking for something luxury alone can no longer offer: access.

We don’t sell rooms, seats, or set-menu excursions. We open doors — to private cellars, research stations, working kitchens, and landscapes most visitors never reach — through relationships we’ve built over years with the people who actually hold the keys: winemakers, perfumers, marine scientists, conservationists, chefs, and pilots.

Every journey is privately arranged from the ground up. Nothing is templated. Nothing is shared.

What We Do

Four worlds that define the Cape

We design and host fully private experiences across the four worlds that define the Cape: its ocean, its mountains, its Winelands, and its wilderness.

A Cape Privé day might mean cruising the Atlantic Seaboard by private yacht at sunset, flying by helicopter into a Big Five reserve for the afternoon, sitting in a working cellar blending your own wine with an estate’s winemaker, or joining researchers in the field as they study one of the world’s most elusive predators.

Every detail — the chauffeur, the vessel, the aircraft, the specialist, the menu — is arranged as one seamless journey, so the only thing our guests have to do is arrive.

Why We Are the Most Bespoke

It ends with something
that exists only because of you

Most operators use the word “bespoke” to mean a personalised itinerary. We mean something more literal: several of our signature experiences don’t end with a photograph — they end with an object that exists only because you made it. A wine blend that carries your name and belongs to no one else. A fragrance built from Cape botanicals, formulated for you alone. A tea blend that exists in exactly one place in the world — with you.

Even where the outcome isn’t a physical creation, the experience itself is unrepeatable: a private research team who shares their season’s findings with you and no one else that day; a chef who builds a menu around what you discovered that morning in the fynbos, not a set card; a route flown, sailed or driven specifically around your interests, your schedule, and your pace.

We also believe genuine exclusivity means genuine access — not staged encounters. Where we bring guests into conservation work, we do it through direct, named partnerships with the researchers and specialists actually doing that work, and a portion of every such journey funds their research directly.

Our Philosophy

A place at a table
that wasn’t set for the public

Luxury can be bought almost anywhere. What can’t be bought is a place at the table that wasn’t set for the public — a cellar door that opens because someone knows you, a research camp that welcomes you because they trust the introduction, a wine, a scent, a blend that exists because you made it, once, and never again.

That is the difference between an experience that impresses, and one that belongs to you.
